Summary

This manual has been used in workshops for training community school teachers and provincial literacy workers in Papua New Guinea. The purpose of the workshops is to familiarize the participants with possible vernacular language programs and to give them the skills and knowledge necessary to develop such programs in their community schools. The manual is a workbook for participants that includes activities and exercises for each workshop session as well as other practical information. Use it with the accompanying Presenter’s Manual.
