Resumen:

Cuenta la leyenda que la gente de Mixtepec fue hasta Puebla a conseguir unas campanas para su iglesia. De regreso, anunciaron su llegada desde un monte tocando las campanas. Es por eso que ese cerro se llama “Monte de la Campana”. Además, esta leyenda explica la razón por la que las campanas de Pinotepa Nacional suenan igual que las de Mixtepec.

Summary:

Legend says that the Mixtepec people went to Puebla to get some bells for their church. On the way back, they played the bells from a mountain to announce their arrival. That is why that hill is called “Mountain of the Bell”. This legend also explains why the bells of Pinotepa Nacional sound the same as the bells of the Mixtepec church.
