Ethnologue: Languages of the World, 15th Edition
A comprehensive catalog, Ethnologue: Languages of the World, alphabetically lists the 6,912 known living languages, documenting the world's complex language situations, including endangered languages. This edition uses the first implementation of the ISO 639-3 three-letter language identifiers. The Ethnologue is available as a durable, hardcover volume as well as a browsable online resource.
SIL presents papers on Caribbean, Creole and Pidgin linguistics
Five papers were presented by SIL personnel at a linguistics conference in French Guiana. SIL linguist George Huttar was selected to be an honorary member of the Society for Caribbean Linguistics, which co-hosted the conference with the Society for Pidgin and Creole Linguistics.
