International conference on Linguistic and Cultural Diversity in Cyberspace
A conference about multilingualism on the World Wide Web drew 105 registrants from 15 countries to Yakutsk, Siberia, in the Russian Federation. Of nearly 7,000 languages on earth today, less than one hundred are represented in the digital world.
International conference focuses on mother-tongue-based multilingual education
The 2nd International Conference on Language Development, Language Revitalization and Multilingual Education in Ethnolinguistic Communities begins 1 July in Bangkok, Thailand. Speakers and attendees are involved in language-based development efforts, including multilingual education.
